Create your Claude account

Free to sign up. Takes about 2 minutes.

Use a desktop or laptop browser. Go to claude.ai in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge on your computer. The mobile app does not support the full workshop workflow.

Go to claude.ai and click Sign up

Click the button below. You will see options to sign up with Google or with your email address.

Sign up with Google or email

Easiest: Continue with Google. If you have a Gmail address, click this — approve the connection and you are in.

Using email instead? Enter your address, click Continue, and check your inbox for a login link. Click the link to verify. No password needed.

💡
If signing up via email, the login link expires in 15 minutes. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.

Verify your phone number

Claude will ask for your mobile number. Enter it, tick the age confirmation, and click Send Verification Code. Enter the code you receive by text.

Enter your name and you are in

Type your name and click Continue. Account created. Move to Tab 2.

💡

Create your Project

Your project saves the workshop instructions and keeps Klaviyo connected permanently.

Find Projects in the left sidebar

On the left side of claude.ai, find the Projects section. Click + New Project.

Name your project and create it

Name it something like Email Strategist — [Your Brand]. Click Create. You will land inside the new project.

Connect Klaviyo to your Project

Done once. Stays connected permanently.

Click Customize in the left sidebar

On the left side of claude.ai, look for Customize in the sidebar. Click it to open the customisation panel.

Click Connectors, then click +

Inside the Customize panel, find Connectors. Click the + button to browse the directory of available connectors.

Find Klaviyo and click Connect

Search or scroll to Klaviyo in the directory. Click it, then click Connect.

Log in to Klaviyo and authorise

A window will open. Sign in to your Klaviyo account and click Allow or Authorise. The window closes and Klaviyo appears as connected.

💡
Log in with the Klaviyo account for your store. Claude will verify the account name matches at the start of your session.

Connect Shopify too (optional)

If you are on Shopify, repeat the same steps to connect it. This gives Claude access to your product catalogue and improves copy and revenue recommendations. Skip if you are not on Shopify.

Paste the workshop instructions

Done once. Saved permanently in your project.

Click Copy instructions below, then paste them into the Project Instructions field in your project settings.

Scroll to read in full, or just copy and paste. These instructions tell Claude exactly how to analyse your data and build your calendar.

Go to the Instructions section in project settings

Inside project settings, find the field labelled Project Instructions or Custom Instructions. It is a large text area.

Paste and save

Click into the field, paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V), scroll to confirm the text ends with To begin, type: Ready, then click Save.

💡
You only do this once. These instructions apply to every conversation you start inside this project from now on.

Start your session

Klaviyo is connected. Instructions are saved. Now just type one word.

Open a new chat inside your project

Click New Chat inside your project. The project name should be visible at the top of the screen.

⚠️
Make sure you are inside your project, not a regular Claude chat. If the project name is not showing at the top, go back to the sidebar and click into your project first.

Type Ready and press Enter

That is all. Claude has your instructions and Klaviyo connected. Type the word below and it takes it from there.

Claude will verify your Klaviyo connection, then ask you four quick questions before getting to work on your calendar.

The four questions Claude will ask

Have your answers ready before you type Ready.

1 How many emails are you sending per week?
E.g. "1 per week" or "2 per week." This sets the total send count for your 8-week calendar.
2 Where are you based?
E.g. "Auckland, New Zealand." Claude uses this to suggest content tied to national days and seasonal moments relevant to your audience.
3 Anything to factor into the calendar?
Upcoming launches, promotions, sales, new arrivals, or key dates. If nothing, just say "nothing to add."
4 15 ideas first, or straight to the calendar?
Claude can show you a list of 15 ideas to choose from first, or build the full 8-week calendar straight away for you to tweak. Your choice.
