Your FLOā„¢
Welcome Flow Writer setup guide

FLOā„¢ writes your entire welcome flow with you in about 10 minutes - your voice, your products, ready to paste into your email platform. Follow the three tabs in order. Already have Claude? Start at Tab 2.

ℹ️
Already set up Claude for another tool in your library? You're done here. Skip straight to Tab 2 - Open FLOā„¢.

Create your Claude account

2
Sign up with Google or email

Easiest: Continue with Google. If you have a Gmail address, click this - approve the connection and you're in.

Using email instead? Enter your address, click Continue, and check your inbox for a login link. Click the link to verify. No password needed.

💡
If signing up via email, the login link expires in 15 minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
3
Verify your phone number

Claude will ask for your mobile number. Enter it, tick the age confirmation, and click Send Verification Code. Enter the code you receive by text.

4
Enter your name and you're in

Type your name and click Continue. Account created.

5
Check Code execution and file creation is switched on

This is usually already on, so it's a ten-second glance rather than a job. Worth doing, because it's the one setting that stops a tool opening properly.

In Claude, click your initials or profile picture in the bottom left, go to Settings, then Capabilities. Find Code execution and file creation and turn it on.

If it's already on, you're done.

⚠️
If you skip this, FLO™ will either refuse to open or show up as plain code instead of a working tool. If that ever happens, this setting is the first thing to check.

Free vs Pro - which do you need?

Start on the free plan. It's all you need to build your flow.

Recommended to start
Free
$0 / month
  • Full 8-email welcome flow
  • Use FLOā„¢ straight from the link - nothing to install
  • Nothing you type is visible to anyone else
  • No card required
  • Usage limits reset every few hours
Pro
$20 / month USD
  • Everything in Free
  • Much higher daily usage limits
  • Worth it if you run FLOā„¢ for multiple brands
💡
FLOā„¢ writes a full 8-email sequence in one go, which uses more of your allowance than a short generation. Free is the right place to start - you'll almost certainly finish your flow in one session. If you're building flows for several brands back to back and hit a limit, wait for the reset or consider Pro.

Open FLOā„¢

Already built. You just need to bring it into your own account - takes under a minute.

ℹ️
FLOā„¢ runs inside your own Claude account. It doesn't touch mine, and nothing you type is visible to me or to other students.
1
Open the tool link

Make sure you're logged into your own Claude account first (Tab 1). Then click the button below to open my published version of FLOā„¢.

2
Use it right where it opens

That's the whole set-up. FLO™ opens as a working tool - you'll see the FLO™ header and a text box at the bottom. Start answering the six questions there and then.

You don't need your own copy of FLO™, and there's nothing to publish. It writes your eight emails in one go, and you copy them straight out into your email platform. It runs on your own Claude account, within your own usage limits, and nothing you write is visible to me or to anyone else.

💡
You may see Copy at the top of the page. You don't need it. That's for people who want to take the tool's code and build their own version - not something you need to do.
⚠️
Finish in one sitting, and copy your emails out when you're done. FLO™ doesn't save anything between sessions by design - it hands you the flow and you take it away. If you close the tab halfway through, you'll start the questions again.
3
Bookmark it in your browser

While you're on the tool page, bookmark it so you can jump straight back whenever you need it - building a flow for a second brand, or redoing yours after you've changed your offer.

Desktop browsers - Ctrl+D on Windows or Cmd+D on Mac. Prefer clicking? Look for the star icon (★) at the right-hand end of your browser's address bar.

⚠️
Don't use "Save Page As" to save this to your computer. A saved copy is disconnected from Claude and FLO™ won't work when you open it later. Always come back via your bookmark - never a saved file.

How to use FLOā„¢

Six questions. Eight emails. About 10 minutes.

1
Answer the six discovery questions

FLOā„¢ asks you six things about your brand - one at a time, in a simple chat. Answer each one and press Enter or Send. There's a progress tracker at the top so you always know where you're up to.

The more detail you give, the better your emails will sound like you. A sentence or two per answer is plenty - you're not writing an essay.

💡
Have these ready before you start: what subscribers signed up for (e.g. 10% off, a freebie, a giveaway entry) and how long that offer is valid. FLOā„¢ asks about this first - it drives your first and last emails.
2
Wait about 20-30 seconds

Once you've answered all six questions, FLOā„¢ writes your complete 8-email flow. You'll see the typing indicator while it works - it usually takes 20-30 seconds. Don't refresh the page.

3
Review your eight emails

FLOā„¢ writes all eight emails in order, each with three subject line options, a preview text, the full body copy, and a CTA note telling you where the button should link and what it should say.

4
Copy and paste into your email platform

Hit the red Copy my welcome flow button at the bottom. This copies all eight emails as plain text - paste them into your email platform (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, or whichever you use) and set your timing.

Timing to use: Email 1 sends immediately on subscribe. Space each of the remaining seven emails one day apart.

Do this today
Set your flow up before your ad goes live. New subscribers are at their hottest the moment they sign up - a flow waiting for them is the difference between a warm lead and a cold one.
5
Add your own proof and personalise

FLOā„¢ writes real copy, not placeholders. But Email 3 (social proof) will flag where to drop in your best customer review - look for the placeholder text in square brackets and swap in your actual testimonial.

Everything else is ready to go. Read each email once and adjust any specific product names or details that need your personal touch.

💼
Running FLOā„¢ for a second brand? Hit "Start over for a different brand" at the bottom of the tool and go again. Each run is a fresh flow built for that brand's specific context.

Quick troubleshooting

A couple of things that trip people up.

1 The Send button doesn't seem to do anything
Make sure you've typed something in the answer box first. FLOā„¢ waits for your answer before it asks the next question - it won't move forward on an empty message.
2 It stopped responding after one of my answers
If FLOā„¢ goes quiet mid-conversation, the most common cause is a Claude usage limit. Wait a few minutes and try again, or refresh and start the conversation fresh. Free accounts reset every few hours.
3 "The tool can't reach Claude from where it's being viewed"
This means you're viewing it outside Claude - like a downloaded file or saved page - rather than inside your own Claude account. Go back to Tab 2, open FLOā„¢ through the link, and make sure you're logged in.
4 I want to change something FLOā„¢ wrote
Copy the flow out first, then edit directly in your email platform. FLOā„¢ gives you a solid first draft - your job is to read it through and tweak anything that doesn't sound quite like you. It should only be small adjustments.
5 It says I've hit a limit
Free accounts have a usage limit that resets every few hours. FLOā„¢ writes a full 8-email sequence in one go, which uses more of your allowance than shorter generations. Wait for the reset, or consider Pro if you're building flows for multiple brands regularly.
